25 Mar, Congratulations again to Alex Hamilton on a great freshman year at Louisiana Tech!! Alex made the WAC All Conference team, and even though Louisiana Tech lost their second game in the NIT to Southern Miss, he had 15 points, 6 assists, 3 blocks, made a 4 point play, and shot 6 of 13 from the field. Tiger Nation is looking forward to following Alex's career as he continues to impress at the next level.

20 Feb, Although they did not win the State Championship today, the Chipley Lady Tigers played a great game and kept Chipley High School in the spotlight of the Florida High School basketball world. We would like to congratulate the Lady Tigers on a great season and a State Champion runner up finish.

19 Feb, Chipley Tigers play their hearts out, but fall to #1 ranked Malone.

  1st 2nd Final
Chipley 25 25 50
Malone 26 35 61

Chipley Scoring: Forrest 31, Sharpe 7, McCrary 6, Justice 5, Holmes 1.

The Chipley vs Malone Regional game lived up to the hype! A rematch of last years game was just as exciting. #1 Malone played to their ranking. Virtually tied at the half and into the 4th quarter, the Tigers played with tremendous heart and pride. Freshman Trent Forrest led all scorers with 31. Unfortunately, Malone's size and depth was too much to overcome late in the fourth quarter. Tiger Nation stood for hours before the game to support the team. Thank you all for your support and encouragement both at home and on the road all year long. The Tigers will be back in the gym to get ready for another run next year.... for the districts, regionals, and hopefully beyond. Thanks again to all of Tiger Nation who supported this young team all season. See you next year....GO TIGERS!!

Best of Luck to Malone as they continue their post season run.

Valentines Day 2013

9 Feb, Third times the charm for Holmes County.

  1st 2nd Final
Chipley 23 23 46
Holmes County 21 29 50

Chipley Scoring: Forrest 30, Sharpe 11, Justice 4, McCrary 1.

Tiger Nation would like to congratulate Holmes County High School for a well played and earned District Championship. The Blue Devils took control of the game from the start and never let up. Trent Forrest led all scorers with 30, but it was not enough to overcome a strong 2nd half surge by the Blue Devils. We would like to give our sincere condolences to Coach Poe White and his family on the loss of his mother. Coach White is a man of high character and is well respected by all who know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. God Bless.

Tigers will advance to the Regional Tournament and will play Malone. Schedule and Time TBD

8 Feb, Tigers will face Holmes County in District Finals!

A repeat of last year's district finals with Holmes County and the Chipley Tigers. Congratulations to all our district teams for a great season. The Tiger trio of Tyrome, Trent, and Kobe made plays on both ends of the floor. Tiger Nation was in attendance to support as usual. Hats off to a very well coached Jay team and their community for hosting the tournament. Hope to see everyone tomorrow night against the #3 High School rated player Chris Walker and the Blue Devils.....GO TIGERS!!

Chipley 38 40 78
Graceville 28 30 58

Chipley Scoring: Forrest 29, McCrary 24, Sharpe 13, Justice 5, Cambell 3, Holmes 2, Smith 2.

Game Photos by Barbara Justice!!
Don't forget to thank Barbara for all her efforts photographing the Tiger's games this season (and last). It's not easy and takes a lot of her time. Let her know you appreciate it.

What a huge victory against cross town rival, #5 ranked Graceville. Senior Tyke Steele energized the crowd during Senior Night!   Kobe, as usual, was a beast inside and scored a career high 24 points and 12 rebounds.  Trent was a scoring machine in the post and during transition with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Tyrome's floor leadership proved to be a huge factor in the victory. Again, senior Tyke Steele's 4 years of leadership, team play, and positive attitude will always be appreciated. Tiger Nation will be on the road next Friday, Feb 8th, for district playoffs in Jay, FL @ 7:30. Please contact Renee Crews for information on the fan bus at 850-326-1567.....GO TIGERS!!

Check out this story on the game.

Congratulations to senior Tyke Steele on an outstanding career at Chipley High School, and hopefully some more success in the post season too!

Tyke Steele and Family

Another Tiger roars into the post season, congratulations to Kobe McCrary on a career high 24 points vs Graceville!!
